Festival international Nuits d’Afrique will be coming to Montreal July 10 to 22, 2012

The 26th edition of Festival international Nuits d’Afrique will be coming to Montreal July 10 to 22, 2012. If you're in the vicinity ie. NYC, TO, Philly you can drive that in 7hrs or less. If it's as least as good as the other years, you'll be in for a treat. This year, the Festival international Nuits d’Afrique offers a record number of 91 shows and workshops, given by more than 500 artists from 32 countries. Five concert series presented in seven different indoor venues, with two Nuits d’Afrique Passport packages, lets you experience the greatest number of shows, with no need for visas and without jet lag.

THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY JULY 19, 20, 21 AND 22 The Village Nuits d’Afrique on the Parterre du Quartier des spectacles will provide four days of free festivities with 28 concerts on the LOTO-QUÉBEC Stage and eight open-air workshops as well as 25 activities at the Agor’Afrique, four on site parade activities, the Children’s Village and the famous Timbuktu Market with its 44 craftspeople. Every evening, starting at 8 p.m., there will be projections of live sets on the façade of the Maison Symphonique de Montréal ! The Artists hail from throughout the African diaspora and they bring it. This is always one of my favorite events in Montreal, the music is always good and the spirit is always festive.
