Ida B. Wells Barnett, born July 16, 1862

Ida B. Wells-Barnett
(July 16, 1862 – March 25, 1931)

Ida B. Wells Barnett was a pioneer in the #BlackLivesMatter Movement. She has already lead the way, when it comes to methods to deal with brutality and racial injustices perpetrated on African- Americans. Her writings and works should be taught, reviewed and expanded using today's tools.   We must be sure to keep her legacy alive in our struggle for equal treatment under the law.
