Short stories for colored people both old and young - entertaining, uplifting, interesting (c1905)

I had originally populated this post with a later (1920) edition of this book which is slightly different,
I'll add a link to the other one at the end of this post.

This edition presented here is earlier and has been illustrated with more than 50 drawings by John Henry Adams where the later edition has many of the original drawings replaced by photographs. This  the (1905) edition has more stories (100) and a different cover and title it's called:
Floyd's Flowers : or, Duty and Beauty for Colored Children

being one hundred short stories gleaned from the storehouse of human knowledge and experience ... (1905)
What a discovery! This little gem is full of stories and illustrations
about African Americans around the turn of the century. The stories and illustrations are positive and depict the people in a very authentic and dignified manner. Many of these stories are quite short and would, in my opinion make excellent material for teachers of younger students who want to show an aspect of the African American experience around the early 1900s while encouraging good moral attitudes..
